Hey everydoggy! It's Mia here! Mom has been super busy with the new puppy, Cujo. She is potty training the little squirt. Woo know, so HE doesn't squirt around the house.
Anyhoo, she made me take a picture with my boy and *GASP* one of the cats, Milo!! Please don't tell Mack because he will SO make fun of me!

My boy is really enjoying the new puppy. He is very gentle and loving. He is also a HAM.

Here is Cujo moving in on Mack's red ball. He will learn soon. NO DOGGY touches the RED ball, but MACK.

Hey everydoggy! Momma was not up for corralling us 4 leggers to try to get a nice picture for today. PFFFT. What a lazy butt. We aren't THAT bad. So, she came up with THIS instead. Hey everydoggy. It's Macky here. The last 3 days of my life have been absolutely TERRIBLE! I mean, it was pretty awful - even terrifying at times...My mom brought home this thing....and his name was.....CUJO....
Yuh, I know, run for the hills screaming, right?! It gets worse...

THIS is the Cujo who just entered my life!!! STILL PRETTY SCARY RIGHT?!?!?!

He is even more scary looking that the original Cujo.

*Note from the momma: This is DEFINITELY the last addition to our family. I SWEAR IT. NO REALLY I DO! SERIOUSLY! With that said, please say Hi to Cujo. He is our new little 1pound baby Chihuahua, with big personality. Don't let Mack and Mia fool you. They are getting on just great! Mia is being her most sweet and motherly self, knocking baby Cujo over with every lick of her tongue! and Mack is making sure that Cujo knows who is the REAL boss in the house, but Mack is a sweet boy, he has been letting Cujo climb all over him and nibble his ears too. Either Mack thinks or wants to be 1lb or Cujo thinks or wants to be 81lbs. (Supervision is a must because in this case, Mia AND Mack are the FATSO'S compared to Cujo!

Hewoooooooo Furends! It's Macky here. Last night my mommerz was changing the sheets and stuffs to make the beds fresh, she grummbled something about US pups making the sheets gross after a couple days. Ummmm - *$#%*&@# WHAT?! The two leggers act like THEY don't drool and stuff! PFFFFT! So woo know what had to be done, right?! Before that old lady could even get the comforter onto the bed I......
I licked and licked and cleaned and drooled and licked some more...took a wittle break...and then....licked and licked, drooled and cleaned my precious tootsies...on her nice new sheets of course...

VOILA! I made a fresh new drool spot! Tee-hee! What? I'm just living up to my name. Hey, Hey, Hey, lemme ask woo a favor, Is there any boogies in my shnozz? Dere IS? I'm gonna wipe them on the bed too! HRMPH!

That'll teach her! Mia and I make the bed smell WAY better! Well.....WE DOOOOO! Look at this mug! It get's em EVERY time. It's very convincing, it's the very cute and luvable look that says, "WOO LOVE ME, DON'T WOO, JUST ADMIT IT, I'M PRETTY MUCH THE MOST PAWSOMEST DUDE EVERRRR!"

Hey everydoggy! It's Mia here! Dude, my momma is so resourceful. For this past Christmas we got these sweet candy cane bones. They were like so NOMMY! Anyhoo, AFTER Christmas they were super duper cheap at the pet store so my genius mom, always using her noggin, snagged a boat load of those suckers for back stock. Woo can never have enough chewing bones, woo know?! So, what do you get when you bust out a candy cane bone in March? CHRISTMAS IN MARCH! WOOOOOO! Boss lady finished her stoopid MBA on February 28, 2011. So woo know what that means, right?! FREEDOM! Momma says that since that load has been lifted she has more time for more important things like...ohhhhh...woo know....the greatest labradude EVER...ME....oh yeah...fatso, Mia too.

Anyhoo, momma did take time to celebrate our barkday, which was on January 31st. Mia and I are 3 years young now! I guess she is good for something. Although, there was some mild animal abuse going on, I'm not going ot lie about it! She kept trying to put this dang pointy cone on our heads and when I tried to see what it tasted like she had the nerve to yell at me and then physically hold it on my head, while dad kept snapping this flashy beast.

Take 1: Man, I so better be getting a treat for this....2 of them actually!

Bitter Sweet...

Hey everydoggy, It's Mack and Mia's mom here. Man, it's been a crappy week and unfortunately I have some very sad news...

Last Thursday, I took Captain Fluffy Pants in for his 12 week check-up appointment and he tested positive for Feline Leukemia. I had to decide whether to let him live with this cancer as it slowly attacked his immune system not knowing if he would live 2 months or maybe a year at best and also wrestle with the possibility if I kept him that he would most likely pass this onto Luna and Midnight, therefore, I had to make the decision to put Captain Fluffy Pants down...
And after only having him for 2 months, boy it felt like I had had him forever. There will never be another cat like him, I don't know any 2 lb kitten that would stand next to big ol' goofy Mack and not even be scared. He would greet us at the door with Mack and Mia too! He was a cat with a dog spirit and man-o-man will he be missed...

Needless to say, my boy didn't quite grasp what happened and kept asking if Captain Fluffy Pants would be better soon to come home. I did my best to explain the reality of death to a 5 year old in the most gentle way I could. He kept asking me if that meant he wouldn't have a kitten anymore...so to try to help my boy not feel the pain of loss - maybe it was more from confusion and not understanding why Captain Fluffy Pants was sleeping with him the other night and now he would not ever again. I got my boy another kitten. Not to ever forget about our little striped cat dog, but to help Bryan's longing for his OWN pet, which Captain Fluffy Pants was...

So, the very next day when I took Luna and Midnight to get tested (Both are negative) and to my surprise the vets' cat actually had kittens and she had brought them in to try to find them homes. I felt like it was a sign. So, I made a hasty decision and decided to surprise my boy. I picked out the fluffiest, calmest, fattest kitten and now I would like to introduce you to Milo. He is 12 weeks old. Milo has some very little, but oh so BIG paws to fill...

My belly? What about MY belly? I think Mia and I are from the same litter...

FINE! It's true! I ate my food and I ate my brothers and sisters portions TOO! Don't JUDGE me!

Please admire my best evil eye look. It's just like Captain Fluffy Pants' evil look he did when he had to look at that big blonde doofus coming down the hall.

But our momma has a really really good excuse, it's because she got's her new job and all and she has only 4 more classes for her MBA degree so she has been putting herself all in work and school. Hey everydoggy out there!! It's Mack and Mia's boy, Bryan! I know everyone has been waiting on the edge of there seats to find out what we decided to name the new member of our family. Mom and dad kept trying to persuade me to name the kitty what THEY wanted, but I REFUSED! I have been waiting my whole life to have this opportunity to have an animal that I got to name all by myself!
Besides...why wouldn't they want a dignified little dude like me to name him?

I take this naming business VERY seriously!

Even, when I was a little dude....okay fine, I'm still a little dude, but when I was even SMALLER...I searched far and wide for the perfect name that I would someday be able to bestow upon a furry furend...

It took a WHOLE LOT of concentration.

Hey everydoggy! It's Mia here! This past couple days has been SUPER crazy! Our little boy graduated from preschool! Mom started the next class in her MBA program...woo guys know which one I'm barking about... " the Mia is Beawooootiful and Amazing program". She won't be able to graduate by December like she says because there are a WHOLE LOT of classes about how wonderful and cute I am. Plus, mom got an offer for a new position at her work. Our new kitten is eating regular food - no more bottle! It's been BANANAS I tell woo!
Just watching the crazy momma stresses me out. So I did what I could do. I took a nap. Neener - Neener - Neener MOM!

Mack and Mia's mom here. Thank you all for giving all those awesome name suggestions. We still haven't picked a name yet because my husband wants to name him 'Blue' from the movie Old School, where they all say, "You're my boy blue! You're my boy!"

Our little boy wanted to name him 'pants' because he got a new pair of pants for school yesterday. Yeah, seriously, gotta love 5 year old logic. So cute.

and me....well I like 'Cody' or 'Howie' or 'Boog', like Booger...

So the saga continues....The little guy is really coming around. He is still drinking from a bottle, we are trying to wean him off slowly, I mean it's only been 4 days the poor guy is probably still traumatized...We also have an appointment at the vet tomorrow. He will most likely get the usual shots, de-worm, and medicine/antibiotic because he seems to have a slight cold...hence the watery eye and sneezing that has been happening often. Anyway, it's been fun and exciting so far. People have been teasing me that I now officially have a farm! (because of our now 3 cats and 2 dogs) I just laugh. What can I say? Everyone has a weakness!

Oh my dog! Woo all will never guess what happened to us last night. Me and Mia are packing our bags because we have been BETRAYED! It's already bad enough that we have to share our house with the E.N.E.M.Y. - woo know who I'm talking about those little pesky felines...I mean seriously we have 2 of those little boogers already. At least it's 'even steven' on the home front woo know...
Anyhoo, back to what I was saying....Mia, her big butt, and me are totally leaving because our kooky mom (who needs to have an intervention) found this wittle, ugly, smelly...

PeeS. Mack and Mia's mom here. I found this little dude in my cul-de-sac. He was a part of a litter of 4 other kittens. The mom is an outdoor cat that belongs to one of our neighbors. He did not want to take on these other 4 little ones, so I took 1 and my other neighbor took 1, and another neighbor took the last 2. I think they are about 5 or 6 weeks old. I know it's a bit too early to be away from mom, but it was kind of a now or never kind of thing. I hate thinking of those little ones out in the cold night and we've had frequent rain here lately. We have an appointment at the vet this Friday. Until then, I have bought a bottle and kitten formula and have been feeding the little guy every 3 hours. It's like giving birth all over again. The 4-legged version this time. Needless to say, I'm tired. lol. He is doing well; eating a lot. Over the phone the vet said to only continue bottle feeding for another week and then start introducing wet food slowly...

As for Mack and Mia. I let them smell the little dude with him in the crate. Then I let them smell him while I held him. then I let them explore one another while he was on the floor. Mia gave him a big lick. She will be motherly I can tell. She is such a sweet girl. Mack sang him his best version of the Mango love song...for once he was calm and gentle...SHOCKER!

I still don't have a name for this little guy. Wanna help me decide? I would love some suggestions from all my furry furends!!

Hey everydoggy! It's Mia here. A lot of doggies, especially the blond colored ones with names that rhyme with Back, think I'm a "big" girl. They have even been known to call me names like FATSO, thunder thighs, BIG BUTT, and many more names I can't even repeat over this public forum. Anyhoo, I know that I am kind of festively plump. The last time I went to the vet I weighed like 86lbs, which is supposidly a wittle too high for me. I'm supposed to weigh in the upper 60/lower 70 range. Mack weighs like 81lbs, but apparently because he has definition he is in the clear. THAT IS SO NOT FAIR! Whatta LOSER! Anyhoo, my mom put me on a diet and switched me onto Nutro Ultra, which is a holistic premium dog food. She says after six months the only thing looking skinnier is her WALLET! I personally think it's her bad picture taking skills! She needs a new and more flattering flashy beast! Yeah! Thats it! It's the cameras fault!
Yeah, so what, my belly is hanging out, but I was relaxing.

Hey everydoggy! Man-o-man, yesterday Mia and I were being giggle-butts. We were just smiling and smiling for like 459872365340598 hours. Our cheeks were like really sore by the time we went to bed. Harooo everydoggy! It's Mack here. Dude! I hope everydoggy is recovering well from all the pawties and festivities for Cinco de Mayo last night! Check out my boys sombrero. He is so stylin' and festive! I wish I could've gone out with him last night...
Anyhoo...On another note, this morning my momma went to register my boy into kindergarten because he is starting school this fall. CAN WOO GUYS BELIEVE IT?! and then she started talking about how time flies and everyone is growing up so fast...poor mom...maybe she drank too many margaritas yesterday...I think she may have been misty on the drive home from the elementary school, but then again maybe she just finished sticking her head out of the window to catch some air and it probably blew in her eye. Hello all my furends! It's Mia here! Usually, I like to lay on the tile in the kitchen. It feels so cold and so good on my belly on a warm day.
However, yesterday was really really cold and rainy so there was only one solution for my big and most beawooootifulest self...

RELOCATE! I decided to relocate to the nice, warm, comfy couch where I can snuggle and hang out with my boy and his toys, especially his stuffie. I know that the big bear is his most favorate stuffie, so I wouldn't even think about ripping it to shreds, scattering his guts all over the house, and then eating it's eyeballs as if they were little gooey gummie bears...no way...not me...I just snuggles with it and loves on it because I know it's special to my boy. Here is Mayzie's other date, Booker Man. Anyhoo, It was a nice surprise to come back and see that we got an awardie from the Pittie Pack Kissa-bull! Thank you very very much my good furiends! I am sending woo all kissies right as we speak!
Our momma was slaving away this weekend mulching, planting, weeding, and all the other super fun yard work stuff. (Mack and Mia's momma dukes here just letting everydoggy know yard work does NOT equal "fun") She even broke a sweat under the sweltering sun, which got me thinking...I sure do miss the snow...

Hey everydoggy! Mia here. As everydoggy knows, my momma did not have me from the begining. She didn't get me until about a year ago and well I was no baby when she got me! I told her I looked all types of sweet and snuggly; once she laid eyes on these bad boys she was clearly over taken by my overwhelming cuteness! Hey everydoggy! It's Mack here. Sooo, momma got me when I was a wee wittle pup. I know everydoggy thinks Mia and I were together from the start, but in fact, momma got her only about a year ago because another family was giving her up. They said they didn't have enough time to give her the attention she deserves...and well that was the best day of Momma's life and Mia's too. Momma picked her up the same day and brought her home and the rest was history. In the begining I was a wittle jealous of Mia cause I thought she was trying to steal my scratchie and snugglie time, but after a while her big butt kinda grew on me and now we are inseperable! If she gets up, I get up. If I go upstairs, she goes upstairs. I know sometimes I pick on her...okay, who am I kidding...ALL the time, but deep deep down I really lubbing her a lot and I'm glad she is my furever sister and I am her forever brudder.

Momma said she should frame it and put it in our house because sometimes visitors have made comments about all the hair around and little do they know momma tries super duper hard to keep a clean home, hair free. It was sunny and in the 70's here for the WHOLE weekend...and now It's Monday...and it's rainy yet again so momma was not very motivated to get up. Mia and I tried our best to tag team her. Yeah, see, I told you Mia and I weren't really motivated either. tee-hee. It didn't take much convincing that staying in bed just a wee bit longer was a better choice than getting up and getting the week started. Besides, it was so warm and toasty in our dog pile. Momma says she doesn't ever need a warmer with me and Mia around. She always puts her cold tootsies under Mia's belly and uses me like a life size body pillow. Eh, somedoggy has to do it, right?!

Hi every pawpal!

It's Mack here this fine rainy Saturday morning. I always try to see the positive in everything. I'm pretty good at it actually. I always look at the cup half full. Like the other day I ate my food, but it's okay because Mia hadn't eaten hers yet. Yesterday, I had already ate my cookie, but it's okay because dumbo over there hadn't finished hers yet. Or, like this one time, my water bowl was empty because I drank it all, but it's okay because I just drank Mia's. Do you see how it works? Well, I am trying to show Mia that a rainy day IS a good day! It's just as good as a sunny one and every now and again it's BETTER than one.

Mia! Listen up! Here is what we are going to do. Momma is thinking we are going to just do our 'business' and go back inside, but we are going to give her a MACK ATTACK after she see's what we are really going to do! Just follow my lead!

Mack and Mia here and boy are we glad to have pawpals like all of you! If you remember our last post the big ol' mean momma wasn't trying to give my most pawsome and adorable self a taste of her foodables. NOMS. Noms are like the greatest thing in the world. I live for noms. Momma was cooking some extra tasty noms last night. She made sauteed asparagus and mushrooms, salmon, and herb rice. Mmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmmm. The aroma just filled the air and my mouth was watering so much that momma said I looked like I had a disease or somthing. I'm not one to usually beg...well actually....who am I kidding.

I started of in a low tone just to let momma know I approved of her cooking skills and that I would be most honored to be her honorary taste tester. She said no.

Then I gave a little Arrrooooo to hint that a little piece of salmon dropped in my deposit box wouldn't hurt anybody. She said no.

HRMPH! Mean momma. I ignored her for the rest of the night. Sike. I'm just kidding, it was only for like a minute. What can I say? - I lubbing her.

Hi Everydoggy! It's Mack here! It feel like it's been so long since I have been in the spotlight, I mean seriously, I'm a labradude, I have needs! Well, anyway, Momma is a doofus and forgot to take off the pictures from her camera, so she is using 'old' pictures. She said she would have the new ones posted tomorrow for sure. pfffftttt...I'll believe it when I see it!

Anyhoo, We are all excited about the warm weather that is hopefully on it's way. Momma and I had a blast last summer in our pool. It's not much, Momma always calls it a hill billy pool because out in the sticks everydoggy has out of ground pools, but we had some good times in there regardless. Everyone loved it except Mia - What a scardy dog! She is so weird sometimes, I mean don't ALL labradorks love the water?

Here I am relaxing in momma's arms. I only swim around for a bit and then I become all calm like in the water and I make momma swim me around.

Ahhhh, this is the life I tell you...

The water feels soooo NICE...

I can't wait until it's summer! I'm going to push Mia's big ol' butt in, well I'm going to try, but if I can't I am going to make HOOOGE splashes and get her wet!

Hey everydoggy! Mia here again. I have a very important introduction to make today. I am going to introduce you to the puuuurrrrrty kitties that we share our home with. Well, actually, they were here first, so I guess they are sharing it with us, but anyway, we are bigger than them so we rule and they drool. Here is the most important tip I will share with everydoggy about how you approach a kitty. First, You have to disguise yourself and blend in with the surroundings. Second, you have to be really really quiet and not move a muscle. (This is basically impossible for Mack because he is a big doofus and barks at the wind. What a dummy, I tell ya, thats all thats in his brain, just a breeze blowing right through - cause it's EMPTY!) Third, you have to look super cute, which comes naturally to a girl like me!

Without further a do...HERE THEY ARE!

This is Midnight. She is a short hair. Midnight is about 7/8 years old. Momma doesn't know her exact breed of age because she adopted her from the SPCA. Whoever owned Midnight before were very mean to her. She was found abandoned in a home. Momma hates humans that abuse animals. Momma said she would love to have 10 minutes with those type of people to give them a piece of her mind and a piece of her foot up their *(#$%&#(*&%@#)($&.

And here is Luna giving Midnight instructions on how to play tricks on Mack and I. Luna is a long-haired, calico kitty and about the same age as Midnight...I think. Momma isn't sure about her either because Momma found her as a stray roaming around the neighborhood and made dad catch her!

Enough with the felines! Back to US! It has been pretty cold outside lately, but this past weekend it was a whopping 60 degrees. "EVERYONE OUTSIDE", Momma yelled!

Hey everydoggy! Today was a very big day and I just knew something was up this morning when I woke up because Momma usually leaves for work on Monday mornings, but not today. She was doing zoomies all over the house and barking at my boy to get ready for the day; and she kept telling him to brush his teefers really REALLY well. I was scared for him he was going somewhere almost as bad as the V-E-T. I shudder just spelling it out loud. My boy had to go to the D-E-N-T-I-S-T! This was going to be his very first visit and momma was on a mission to make sure she...I mean he...made a good impression.

I don't really know what is going to happen at the dentist, but I offered my boy one of my denta sticks because I figured if he chewed on that sucker than he wouldn't have to go. I tried to save him, but the mean old momma made him go anyway.

Here is the doc polishing his chompers! Momma said my boy was so good because he didn't try to bite the nice lady....not even once.

I was so worried, but look, my boy was a super star! Look at those pearly whites! The doc said that my boys teeth were perfect and that he is doing a good job brushing and flossing! I am so proud of him!

Momma is a nazi about keeping my teeth healthy too. I guess she is good for something after all besides walkies and noms!

Hi! Mack here. I just wanted to show all my pawsome friends how I evolved into the fine beast that I am today...

First day home. I was 12 weeks old, but a very big boy.

Here I am looking most regal...just ignore the stuffie. That reminds me though, we should all take a moment of silence to remember Eyore. He was my first stuffie and needless to say he is no longer with us. Since then, I go through stuffies DAILY and sometimes I mistake some of my moms things as my stuffies - like her pillow. She is on like the 12764349823 billionth one...

I know exactly what I was trying to do here. I was trying to hunt down Luna or Midnight...probably both....I still have never successfully caught either of them, but there is always tomorrow. Hey, a labradude can dream right?! hehe.

Here is my boy and me. He loves me. I am a whole lot bigger than him now, but he's not scared of me at all. He tries to wrestle me every morning...and just who do you think ends up as top dog??....well he does of course because I love him and plus he gives me treats, but it's mainly because I love him.

Hey Everydoggy! It's Mia here and I think my momma needs to RELAX. she is all freaking out and stuff and says she is stressed. I'm never stressed, I don't know what her problem is. She was whining and complaining that she's tired of the hustle and bustle. Tired of school. Tired of work. Tired of working out. Tired of commuting. Tired of LIFE. I mean what could she possibly have to complain about she has me and Mack in her life, we trump everything - EVERYTHING, right?! Anyways, I am going to throw momma a bone and teach her how to be lazy. Here are my favorate pictures of how to be lazy. Take note momma.

I mean even Little B knows how to be lazy on some days. He is usually pretty busy. He is always running around on a full tank and trying to ride me like a horse (a slender horse that is. I know I put on a few pounds, but hey it's just more to love!), but even he knows how to take a rest. I taught him well. We are a good team.

Mack, well, Mack is rarely lazy. He is always ready to go! He looks relaxed in this picture, but he is probably fakin'. Out of a borderline obsession and a mild case of boredom I have decided to start documenting the stories and memories of my life through my 2 labs Mack and Mia. I have been following a few dog blogs for almost a year and always loved reading the funny stories and sometimes the sad ones too. I never thought I would create my own, but here goes... I'll probably throw in some extra stuff here and there just for fun too. So, without further ado here are my furry kids....

Mack is a yellow American Labrador retriever. He is spunky, always getting into trouble, and always down for a game of fetch. Mack is sometimes known by his alias, Mack Attack, you will find out why VERY soon...Mack is our in house “Marley” (From Marley and Me…remember all the crazy antics? YEAH – Welcome to my WORLD!)

Mia is a chocolate English Labrador retriever. She is the exact opposite of Mack. She is a gentle and quiet soul. Still, Mia is the Yin to Mack's Yang. The peanut butter to his jelly. The bacon to his eggs. She has even been called lazy at times. The nerve some humans have. LAME.

Mack and Mia share the same birthday, January 31, 2008. I know, I know - I'm late to the game, but I'm here now. DON'T JUDGE ME!

In most ways these two are the exact opposite of one another, but they definitely share at least one thing; They share their love of SNUGGLES. Mack and Mia fein to be loved, to give love, and to share love. They fein for all and any love and in any form. Both of them have to have some physical contact with me at all times, whether it be a paw touching me, an ear flopped over my leg while we watch t.v., or a full body lean while I wash the dishes. In the beginning it seemed a bit much, they can come off as really needy, but it's okay because I'm kind of needy too (shhh, don't tell). Besides, I figure they must really love their momma and it's okay with me because I really love them too.
